Board of Directors

David Levy

As President & Chief Executive Officer at Objectworld, Mr. Levy oversees all areas of the Company's operations, including setting corporate direction and establishing strategic objectives. Mr. Levy and Mr. Schenkel as co-founders of Velartica acquired the assets of ObjectWorld on April 13th 2004. Mr. Levy brings over 30 years of experience commercializing emerging technologies into successful communications and computing businesses.

Prior to this present venture, Mr. Levy was President and CEO of Mobile Knowledge. In partnership with Latitude Partners, a Toronto based Investment Company; Mr. Levy restructured Mobile Knowledge into a profitable operating company. Mr. Levy founded Loran Inc. in 1993, which he built as Chairman and CEO into a leading systems integration and network management company. Peregrine Systems acquired Loran for $130 million in September 2000, after which Mr. Levy served as General Manager of its worldwide network management business unit. Mr. Levy was also the founder of Plaintree Systems Inc. and its President from 1988 to 1993, where he pioneered the first silicon-based IEEE.802.1d Bridge for Ethernet and LAN media switching. Throughout his career, Mr. Levy has held senior management positions with industry leaders such as Mitel, Bell Northern Research, ITT, and IBM throughout North America and Europe. Mr. Levy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Birmingham University in England.


Thomas A. Eisenhauer

Tom Eisenhauer is the founder and Managing Partner of Latitude Partners. Prior to founding Latitude in 1999, Tom was Managing Director of TD Securities' Investment Banking Technology Group which he founded in 1995. In that capacity he led TDSI's merger and acquisition, private placement and public underwriting activities for information technology and biotech companies across Canada and the United States. Prior to its acquisition by TDSI in 1995, Tom was a Managing Director of Lancaster Financial, one of Canada's largest independent merger and acquisition advisory and merchant banking firms, which he joined in 1987. At Lancaster, Tom was involved in a broad range of M&A, private placement, and advisory services for a number of Canada's leading corporations. Prior to joining Lancaster, Tom was Executive Coordinator with the federal government's Royal Commission on the Economic Union and Development Prospects for Canada, which provided the impetus for the North American Free Trade Agreement. He was also a Policy Analyst for the federal Department of Engergy Mines and Resources.

Tom holds an M.A. in Economics from Queen's University and a B.A. (Honours Economics) from the University of King's College at Dalhousie University. Tom is active on the boards of directors of Whitehill Technologies and Mobile Knowledge.


Peter Sommerer

Peter Sommerer is currently President of Erlauf Holdings Ltd., a private equity investment company located in Canada and serves on the Board of a number of privately held technology companies.

Over the last twelve months he has set up and served as Chairman of Canandia Inc., a privately held company, which offers a platform to Canadian high-tech companies building businesses in and from India, with locations in Kanata, Ontario, Gurgaon, Haryana, India and Pune, Maharashta, India.

In the period from 1996 to 2004 he founded, secured financing, and served as Chairman of three Internet oriented companies: GoodContacts, Coventus, and Vienna Systems. From 1990 to 1998 Mr. Sommerer served as President, COO, Director and Vice-Chairman of Newbridge Networks Corporation, which was subsequently acquired by Alcatel. Prior to Newbridge, he served in a number of technical, administrative and general management roles at Mitel Corporation and ITT Austria, now also part of Alcatel.


Humberto Aquino

Mr. Aquino is a managing director and co-founder of Kensington Capital Partners Limited and a member of the Investment Committee and of the Advisory Board. Mr. Aquino sits on the Board of Directors of Lise Watier, Crestline Coach Ltd., Polymer Plainfield Holdings Inc., and Mobile Knowledge Inc. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Longitude Fund LP. Mr. Aquino was formerly Co Chief Operating Officer of Cott Corporation and has substantial transactional and business strategy experience through his years as an M&A Director at Burns Fry, and as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.

He holds a B.Sc.Eng. and a M.Sc.Eng. from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. Mr. Aquino earned an MBA from the University of Chicago in 1982.
